Recruitment

Tax Free Bursaries and Scholarships are available in shortage subject areas - more information can be found on the DfE funding and support page here. The information currently available is for courses starting in September 2024 which are now closed for applications, the bursary amounts for 2025/26 will be released by the DfE in October 2024.

The entry criteria for all our courses can be found on the 'About you' page.

If you are interested in joining us in September 2025, please register your interest via the link at the top of this page.  Your enquiry will be sent directly to your local hub and you can find more information about the courses offered in your area, on the hub pages.

Note - our courses are advertised as 'QTS with PGCE'. The PGCE element of the course is optional. You can either choose to do 'QTS only', or take the PGCE uplift.

There are two opportunities to apply:

  • Apply: up to four applications (any route), which will be considered at the same time.
  • Apply again: open to applicants whose applications to other providers were not successful in the first round, or who withdrew/declined their applications. Applicants make one choice at a time and can do so from the point of rejection from the first of their initial 4 providers. It is not necessary to await responses from all 4 choices before selecting an alternative course.
  • Please note Inspiring Future Teachers will not accept a second application in any recruitment cycle from a candidate rejected for reasons linked to Safer Recruitment. This applies to applications to both the hub from which they were rejected and all other IFT hubs.

Equality and Diversity

IFT are committed to making our education system more inclusive and diverse to reflect the communities and children we serve. This commitment applies to both the recruitment of trainee teachers in our hubs and within our own organisation. We know we can do better.
